The "Parse for Answers" tool makes copying and pasting entire questions and answers into eDoctrina much simpler!
You would use this tool if you are taking pre-made questions from another source and adding them to an eDoctrina assessment.
The Parse for Answer button appears in the header of the question:
Directions:
Paste the entire question and all answer choices in the Question box.
Note: Pasting into eDoctrina must be done by either clicking CTRL + V on a PC or command + V on a MAC
When copying and pasting from an outside source, it is highly recommended to highlight the text and click the "Remove Format" button (Tx). This will clear up any behind the scenes junk that may have copied over from MS Word or another source.
Click the Parse for Answers button. Each of your answers will go to their designated answer boxes.
Parse for Answers works for multiple answer choices:
a. b. c. d.
a) b) c) d)
1. 2. 3. 4.
etc...
The Parse for Answers button also appears when you open the Question Editing screen:
Once your answers have been parsed, you will simply click the "Save & Close" button in the top right corner of your screen. This will bring you back to the Questions tab of your assessment, where you can move on to the next question.
